Partners in Faith The Partners in Faith initiative brings the Chicago Urban League together with Chicago’s African-American churches with the goal of empowering and inspiring church members to reach and exceed their economic potential. The League would like to partner with your church to provide access to our programs and services, including job training and educational programs, our I AM Initiative for African-American Males, and our homeownership and financial literacy workshops. Partners in Faith is a series of church-based programs and events focused on parental engagement, mentoring and economic empowerment that include:
Urban League Sundays Urban League Sundays is a way for members at participating churches to join the Chicago Urban League for free on one designated Sunday per year. Those who join on Urban League Sundays will receive the following membership benefits:
Our Partners in Faith team will work with our faith consultant, Stephen Thurston II, pastor of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, and your church’s representative to develop a plan for Urban League Sundays at your church, and will assist you with resources to ensure a successful event.
