Digital Media StrategyThe Multimedia Department is committed to using digital media to advance the mission, vision and policy objectives of the Chicago Urban League. We are committed to telling our stories and producing content that promotes positive images of African Americans. Our strategy is to build on the success of the two Emmy-award winning seasons of nextTV and leverage the power of the internet and social media to establish a digital media voice that expands the Chicago Urban League's reach in spaces such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Tumblr and mobile applications. Our goal is to continue to build a strong online community and reach an even larger audience. African Americans make up 30 percent of Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace users. This tells us that we are moving in the right direction and that we must meet our target audience where they are and provide them with the tools and information they need in real time. The CUL social media outlets will feature the following content:
