Join the Anti-Defamation League and the Chicago Urban League for a screening of the film Rosenwald: The Remarkable Story of a Jewish Partnership with African American Communities. Rosenwald documents the incredible story of Jewish philanthropist, Julius Rosenwald’s (President and Chairman of Sears from 1908-1932) efforts to join with African American communities in the South to build schools during the early part of the twentieth century.

On May 2, 2016 the Chicago Urban League presented its annual SUMMIT Luncheon with the theme of Blueprint for Change: From ideas to Collective Impact. While highlighting the successes of local changemakers, whose work is making a tremendous impact on the city, we discussed strategic ways that organizations and diverse sector leaders can join together to improve the quantity, quality and consistency of services and opportunities for African Americans.
