The Chicago Urban League is seeking a Development Intern for Summer 2021. This internship will give you an opportunity to work with the Development team of a medium-sized nonprofit in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood. You will work most directly with the organization’s Development Officer but will regularly interface with the Chief Development & Innovation Officer, Development Consultant, and Senior Grants Writer. You will also engage with program directors and various executive staff. Duties and responsibilities will include supporting donor research efforts, managing and inputting weekly reports into the team’s CRM, assisting with the set-up of The League’s 60th Golden Fellowship Dinner & Exchange, and drafting digital communications.
This will be a full-time, summer internship that will satisfy all experiential requirements put in place by the O’Neill School – however, start and end dates are somewhat flexible. The ideal candidate is a first-year MPA student concentrating in Nonprofit Management looking to pursue a career on the development team of a medium to large nonprofit organization.
